Welcome. This page answers common questions about I&E Bench.

FAQ

How do I restore a Pro purchase?

  1. Open I&E Bench on a device signed in with the same Apple ID used to buy Pro.
  2. Tap Restore Purchases on the Pro / paywall screen.
  3. Wait for Apple to confirm the entitlement.

If restore fails, check your Apple ID, network connection, and that the purchase shows in your App Store purchase history. Then email support@iebench.com with the approximate purchase date (do not send passwords or full card numbers).

Is Pro a subscription?

No. At launch, I&E Bench Pro is a one-time $19.99 non-consumable unlock (product ID com.walkerunited.iebench.pro). There is no subscription.

What does Pro include?

Pro unlocks: RTD / thermocouple calculations (RTD Pt100, RTD Pt1000, Thermocouple); advanced Tubing & conduit Pro tools (Tube saddle, Tubing working pressure, 3-point saddle, 4-point saddle, Multi-bend layout); as-found / as-left worksheets including 5-point calibration (default 0/25/50/75/100% span; custom point percents via CSV); and the instrument / tag library.

Basic tubing and conduit stay free, along with the other core calculators (signal, electrical, units, history, and related free tools). Optional iCloud sync for saved work is available when you are signed into iCloud (see below).

How do I request a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by Walker United Group LLC directly. Visit:

https://reportaproblem.apple.com

Sign in with your Apple ID and follow Apple’s instructions for the I&E Bench Pro purchase.

Does the App need an account?

No Walker United Group LLC account is required. Purchases use your Apple ID. Optional sync uses your iCloud account.

Does it work offline? Where is my data stored?

Calculations run on your device. Saved work stays on the device unless optional iCloud sync is on.

Optional iCloud sync (v1.0): Uses SwiftData with Apple’s CloudKit private database. Data syncs through your iCloud account; Apple stores it, and the developer never sees or accesses it. If you are signed out of iCloud, or you turn iCloud off for I&E Bench in Settings, sync is off or unavailable and data stays on the device.

Turn sync off / manage data: Settings → [your name] → iCloud, then manage iCloud for I&E Bench (or sign out of iCloud). You can also delete saved work in the App. An internet connection is typically needed for downloading the App, purchasing, restoring purchases, and iCloud sync.

What about privacy, analytics, and crash reports?

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and there are no third-party SDKs for those purposes. The App Store privacy label is intended as Data Not Collected, including because private CloudKit data is yours via Apple, not collected by the developer. The only diagnostics are Apple’s built-in crash reports, shared with us only if you opt in through iOS. Support emails to support@iebench.com are kept for 12 months. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad running iOS / iPadOS 17 or later.

Are results certified or guaranteed?

No. I&E Bench is a reference aid. Always verify results against your instrument documentation, site procedures, and qualified judgment. The App does not provide certification, accuracy guarantees, or standards compliance claims.

What law applies? How long are support emails kept?

Walker United Group LLC is organized for these policies under Texas law (see also the Terms of Use). Support emails to support@iebench.com are kept for 12 months, then deleted.

How do I contact support?

Email support@iebench.com. Include your device model, iOS version, and a short description of the issue. Support correspondence is retained for 12 months.
